Schedule Free RISC Firefighter Training

Operation Lifesaver, Inc.'s Railroad Incident and Safety Course for Firefighters (RISC-FF) was developed for United States firefighters – both volunteer and career – by OLI and its first responder partners. If railroad tracks run through your community, firefighters could become involved in responding to a highway-rail grade crossing incident. This course provides critical information allowing firefighters to respond to incidents involving the railroad effectively and safely.

Course Overview

The RISC-FF teaches firefighters how to be safe on and around railroad tracks while they are responding to an incident. Railroad Incident and Safety Course for Firefighters (RISC-FF) is offered at the Basic (1-hour), Intermediate (2-hour) and Advanced (4-hour) levels. Training is available at no cost to help first responders more effectively and safely manage such incidents.
